Students from around the world have been learning English at CCEL since 1991.

CCEL is approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). The school has the highest possible NZQA quality rating. CCEL accepts students aged 15 or over.

CCEL works in partnership with the University of Canterbury. As a CCEL student you have access to university facilities such as libraries, sports facilities and cafeterias.
CCEL offers a range of English courses including General English, Business English, IELTS preparation and Cambridge exam preparation. We also offer TESOL courses for native and non-native English speakers.
CCEL has been teaching English to international students for over 15 years. Our experience will help you improve your English and enjoy a unique study abroad experience.
You can learn English in an international environment. Every year we welcome students from up to 20 countries. You can also meet university students from New Zealand on our campus.
