CCEL’s General English (GE) courses are for people who want to improve their all-round English skills and learn how to communicate effectively. CCEL offers GE at 6 levels from beginner to advanced.

GE courses include, speaking, listening, reading and writing lessons and vocabulary and grammar development. Courses are intensive, have regular testing and a focus on student progress.

General English is available full-time for all students and part-time for students 18 years or older.

Hours per week

Full time - 20 + 3 hours eLearning + 5 hours per week of optional Supervised Independent Learning (Mon - Fri 8:30am - 1:00pm + optional 1:45pm - 2:45pm) / part time - 15 hours per week (Mon - Fri 8:30am - 11:45am)

Levels available

Beginner to Advanced (6 Levels). Part-time is only available for students 18 years+.

Course fees

2 - 11 weeks: $405 per week full time, $305 per week part time | 12+ weeks: $380 per week full time, $305 per week part time

Placement

You will be given a placement test on the first day of the course and placed in class with other students at the same level.

Assessment

Assessment is continuous throughout the course. CCEL students are tested every 5 weeks and receive individual progress reports.
