COURSE OUTLINE
The English for Academic Purposes course is divided into 2 levels - EAP1 and EAP2.
The course enables students to communicate effectively and confidently in English, while developing the study skills required to succeed in tertiary study. Students who complete EAP2 are well prepared to enter either the Certificate in English for Tertiary Studies or the Certificate in Foundation Studies*. A special fast track route is available to students who perform very well. The fast track route enables students to advance to the next level of study after
only 7 weeks (normally 14 weeks).

*Students must also meet specific academic entry requirements to enter Foundation Studies.

PLACEMENT AND ASSESSMENT
The EAP entry test is offered at CCEL every 7 weeks. Students who pass the test can transfer directly to the EAP course.
