CCEL’s Evening English courses are for people who want to improve their all-round English skills and learn how to communicate effectively. CCEL offers Evening English to students from levels pre-intermediate to advanced. Evening English courses include, speaking, listening, reading and writing lessons and vocabulary and grammar development. Courses are intensive, have regular testing and a focus on student progress.

Course fees

2 - 11 weeks: $352 per week full time, $305 per week part time | 12+ weeks: $330 per week full time, $305 per week part time

Minimum entry levels apply. Placement in GE Evening classes will depend on level assessment. A pre-entry test can be taken overseas before arriving in New Zealand.


Assessment is continuous throughout the course. CCEL students are tested every 6 weeks and receive individual progress reports.
